Super awkward pose, yeah. Hopefully I will have less awkward pictures soon. This costume was comically hard to pose in since I lacked so much mobility, there was so much material and boning, blah ;;
This was debut day fort this costume and it kind of fell apart and ended up getting safety pinned together. My not-so-clever-self neglected to realize how heavy the bustle would be and thus I didn't have a method of securing it to the corset.
Anyway, this beast took 22 yards of taffeta, over 240 yards of hemming, and three months to make. This costume was a huge learned process and involved the making my very first corset, among other things. Everything was made and styled by me, except for the teapot which was created by my father and decorated by me.
