Sort of disappointed with how these came out - since they were taken in the middle of a snow storm, there was no sunlight to show how sparkly this costume is. But I think they are pretty photos, even if they don't show all my hard work.
Beautifully done, wow. I actually believe the cloudy skies help here because it added a cooler white balance appropriate for Elsa. Perhaps the sparkly parts could have been brought out with a flash, not sure, but the costume, makeup and ambience of the photo is perfect. Perhaps using a little clarity with a brush in lightroom on the sequin parts of the dress might bring them out a little, but increasing the contrast doesn't really work with this portrait....I think you have that part perfect already. I would however increase the exposure in PS or Lightroom, it does look a little underexpose.
you might be disappointed but i love it and i'm going to use some of your idea for my own shoot. i do see what you mean about how the sunlight would of effected the image but i'll be shooting in studio so hopefully i won't have that problem.
I photoshopped this image just a bit for fun to possibly show you. I know you said there was no sunlight during this shoot, but a little contrast in PS would help so so much! I love the cosplay, it's so beautiful, I admire your work quite a bit!
some really excellent work. I've compared the actual dress side by side to yours and it's pretty damn close. So many people have added on extra crap (snowflakes, glitter and such) and you've left it very clean, like the original. Very good attention to detail!
Wow, serious kudos to you for all your hard work. This came out amazing! As soon as I saw this movie I thought about how incredible it would be to see Elsa cosplayed in her gorgeous "ice gown". Thank you for making it a reality! At least one good thing came out of all this awful snow we've been having, a perfect backdrop for your pictures, sans sun. And seriously that train you painstakingly covered with rhinestones has to be one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen!
You are so amazing! and thanks so much for being so kind to share your whole journey, the costume and everything is so worth it! and all the ones who wish to be Elsa someday will be grateful to you for all the tips *_* <3
Ah! You are the crazy one who hand-applied all those rhinestones.... goodness me! I'm only a few hours into my Elsa bodice and already getting tired of it... lol I don't know how you did it. But it looks good!! The scenery is really pretty, making me jealous of all the lovely snow
